The Aquabot Junior Robotic Pool Cleaner is recommended for in-ground pools that aren’t too big in size. Therefore, it’s the best choice if you don’t need the same power offered by the Aquabot Classic Robotic Pool Cleaner, but still want to efficiently clean your swimming pool with less money. The unit costs $520.99 and it’s a reliable option for removing the debris and dirt every time necessary. To find out more about this model, look at its main features and characteristics and see why it’s such a great alternative to your old pool cleaner.

Technical specifications

With this automatic pool cleaner, you can clean swimming pools up to 40-foot regardless their shape because it can easily handle rectangle, round, oval, L-shape, lap, or kidney pools. At the same time, it will efficiently remove the unwanted dirt from surfaces like fiberglass, gunite/concrete, or vinyl, except for tile. The robot has a powerful motor and once you place it in the water it will scrub and vacuum the floor, cove, and lower walls. The unit runs with the help of an internal microprocessor, featuring a patented floatation enabled directional turning system, which is quite efficient. Also, it’s equipped with dual super grip scrubbing brushes that offer superior results. Additionally, the cleaner will continuously run until you shut it off, but in general, it can finish its job in 3 or 4 hours, depending on how dirty is the pool. As about the filtration rate, the unit can filter approximately 4,500 gallons per hour, so your water will be very clean and safe for the entire family.

Features

This pool robot won’t impress you with its innovative features, because unfortunately it lacks many of them, but it will definitely convince you of its power and efficiency. However, you will surely like the fact that it features a self-contained internal pump and filtration system which comes with a reusable 34-quart capacity filter bag. The filter can successfully remove large leaves or fine particles down to 2 microns. Furthermore, you can start the unit just by pressing a button, so using it is an absolute breeze.

Design and accessories

The dimensions of this automatic robot are 22 x 20 x 19 inches and it’s shipping weight is 34lbs. At the same time, its design is quite simple and it feature a handle on one side of the unit, so you can easily place it in the pool or remove it from the water. Besides the pool cleaner, you will also receive the power supply, and the filter bag with flotation and intake extensions if needed. Also, the buoyant thermoplastic rubber cord cable that comes with the unit measure 50 feet and it’s ETL listed and UL certified. In what concerns the filter bag, it has to be loaded from the bottom of the unit.

Noise and energy efficiency

The robot is quiet enough to run it whenever you want and it’s a great choice if you want to save more energy. The power consumption of this model is 230W, which means your electricity bills will be much lower in comparison to a traditional cleaner. Besides the fact it uses less energy, this robot will help you save more money on water or chemicals. Also, the unit is safe for the environment, so you shouldn’t worry about this aspect.

Ease of use and durability

Since the unit doesn’t need any hoses or booster pumps and it has its own filtration system, you won’t encounter any difficulties in using it. Moreover, it cleans the pool relatively fast, and it doesn’t need your guidance. Unfortunately, it doesn’t feature a remote control, but this shouldn’t be such a big problem. Once you receive the cleaner, all you have to do is to place the filter bag inside the unit, plug the power supply into a GFCI outlet and then plug the floating power cable in both the cleaner and the power supply. The next step is to place the robot in the water and when it reaches the bottom of the pool you just have to turn the power button on. The product is covered by a 1-year warranty against any defects that are due to faulty material or workmanship.

Hello, I have an above ground pool. Can I use this robot cleaner?

    • Becky Eddinson says:

This model is designed for in ground use, but it will also work in above-ground pools. You just have to place the needed cable in the pool as excess will tangle.
